What Eb means on a TCL
The indoor main board and the display board have stopped talking. The unit may still run but the display or buttons misbehave.
On this platform, Eb is a fault: something has failed or is disconnected and needs diagnosis.
Common causes
- A loose ribbon cable between the main board and the display.
- Moisture or corrosion on the display connector.
- A failed display board.
How to fix it yourself

- Reset the system: switch the breaker (or the outdoor disconnect) off, wait a full five minutes so the boards fully discharge, then switch it back on and restart from the remote.
- With power off, open the front panel and reseat the display cable at both ends.
Switch off power at the breaker before opening either unit. Capacitors in the outdoor unit hold a charge for several minutes after power is cut.

Can I reset a TCL Eb code myself?
